We are experts in our field. We are also enthusiasts; highly skilled and experienced craftsmen who manufacture and supply a full range of bespoke and standard scientific and non-scientific borosilicate glassware.
We make beautiful things. Most of the things that we make are also practical. We manufacture specialised scientific glassware for an extremely varied group of enterprises; chemical, petrochemical, nutritional analysis, metallurgy, pharmaceutical, agribusiness, lighting, designers, artists, film studios, museums, research and development labs, restaurants, television shows, displays, government research labs, emissions companies, water companies, the education sector, individuals, pilot plant manufacture, specialist manufacturers, the list is almost endless. Borosilicate glass is used in just so many industries in one form or another and as we specialise in specials it follows that we deal with all.
We also supply standard laboratory glassware (beakers, flasks, microscope slides etc) to whomever has a need. We are not just a distributor selling widgets. We are independent professional glassblowers, free of limiting commercial tie-ups and we know what we are looking at when we examine a scientific glass vessel. We have therefore carefully chosen the products that we hold in stock.

The business was established in 1922, and we continue manufacturing today. Times have changed and whereas in the 20th century we manufactured everything, now we specialise in the more intricate work from our centre of excellence in London, England. We have also forged alliances and networking agreements with large volume producers of commodity items of laboratory glassware, working together to offer a range of super laboratory glassware for all scientific disciplines at globally competitive prices. Being experts in all things glass, we can act as an initial quality control for you, choosing the best value laboratory glassware available; we then complement that by manufacturing ourselves any specialist item that you may require. Also, if you need any repairs then we can of course accommodate that. And finally, if a commodity item is out of stock then there is no need to worry, we can just make it for you!
Not only are you purchasing the raw product that you need, you are also purchasing expertise and reassurance that the product you are purchasing can be relied upon. Reassurance that the product will do its job, reassurance that we are competent, reassurance that we can be relied upon and reassurance that we are fair and honest. We fully appreciate what is expected of us and where we fit into the chain of playing our part in making the world a better place
What is important in life is to contribute to society rather than just go through the motions, and it is great to make a difference. On the one hand, we are local, high quality, open-minded bespoke glassblowers of borosilicate glass tubing who will attempt whatever is requested. On the other hand, we are a global supply and distribution centre of world leading brands of laboratory glassware. We have a highly experienced local skill base with the ability to call upon our global network when it is required to scale up significantly.
In order to remain competitive, we have needed to embrace globalisation. Whilst we could hand-make every single item ourselves, global pricing pressures preclude us from so doing. As glassblowers we recognise quality and have thus carefully chosen our suppliers accordingly.
We carry more than one brand of product so that we can accommodate the different requirements and priorities of our extremely varied clientele. To that end, we are delighted to have international suppliers from the following countries: USA, Germany, Czech Republic, Poland, China and India. We work hard to understand our supply chains, including health and safety, environmental, labour and human rights issues. We will always work with suppliers to make improvements should their practices fall short of our high expectations.
